Data isn't making it to Wunderground **solved**
« on: January 16, 2017, 03:30:05 PM »
I just set up a Meteobridge for my Oregon Scientific WMR968 (don't laugh; I know it's ancient). The data shows correctly on the Live Data screen so I know it's getting to the TL-MR3020, but Wunderground and PWS Weather show -- for the temp. I'm using a non-powered USB hub.

I wonder if this is the problem - I'm using the unit on channel 3 to transmit temp and humidity.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Robert

Is it just the temperature that isn't reporting or are other values missing too?

Post the link to the WU station.

No temp or humidity. I think barometric pressure and wind data were getting there but I'm not sure. I've hooked the station back up to Cumulus since Meteobridge wasn't working.

I can hook Meteobridge back up and check.

As you mentioned the live data screen shows the correct values which means your station is supported and is showing data.  So from meteobridge its good.  It is possible that something in the MB profile for the WMR968 is incorrect or WU is having an issue syncing up with your station.

Is the a new station to WU?

Same station I've had for years.

I've re-hooked up the WMR to Meteobridge. It appears to be reporting zilch to Wunderground. The pressure is from the nearest airport. No other data.

Data still looks good on Live Data tab, however.

You lost me on the "MB profile."

From the Wiki:  "This model has a RS232 connector that needs a RS232-USB converter (based on FTDI or Prolific pl2303 chipset)."  I assume you have that inline between your console and MB?

Yes. Same one I use to connect to a PC to upload data.

Boris from smartbedded says that not having an Out sensor for the WMR (which I don't have and they don't make any longer) seems to be the problem.

I asked him if there's a workaround. If not I'm back to Cumulus.

did you try tagging your alternate outdoor sensors as primary (can be done on "live data" tab and is described in the live data section of the wiki)?

It turns out I had a faulty USB hub. A new one did the trick.

Thanks everyone for your help.

I'm liking what I see of Meteobridge.
