My BloomSky will be down for a while. Having to send it back for a replacement for video issues.

Joe

OK...sorry to hear that....let us know when you're back..

And also let us know how you found the support from Bloomsky - that is also important :)

They are also trying to find out what happened to all of the stations I had added to my favorites.

I got the web address to contact them from another members previous post.

https://bloomsky.desk.com

They list a phone number there, so I called them.

Sorry about that... The person I talked to was a 1st tier contact, however, he did go to my "BloomSky" site and said that my issue was caused by the unit itself and not by anything on my end.  As far as the issue of my "Favorited" sites, he had not heard of it and forwarded the issue onto the engineers, who came back within a few hours asking for more details to help them find the issue. As of now they are still working on it.

I hope this helps,

Warren County, NJ.  It isn't permanently mounted yet, however I like the pictures from where it is sitting so I may leave it where it is at.

How often does it update the conditions? I set it up inside so the temp is off right now.

It is such a nice day, I should put it back on the pole above the garage.  Too many trees here to get a good view on the ground.

It is difficult to decide how to orient the square view.  For most sky above, or to the west to see weather rolling in?  I might try tilted down to the west this time.

My station is pointing south. It does have quite a filed of view. I can see the house and it's about 20 feet away.

Was a little frustrating setting up the station on WU. Still trying to get into the developers area to get my API key.

Well, it figures, I set it up on the pole, got one picture, then it stopped updating.

I almost forgot my satellite mount folds over (the pole with Bloom Sky was getting kinda heavy to keep lifting back on the mount)

Reset, reconnected, back up.  I tilted it to the west this time, because a lot of our weather comes in from that direction.  Not sure yet whether I like it tilted better, or most vertical for the best uniform view of the sky, even as only a square section of the total spherical view.

The chrome plated feet of the solar panel were starting to rust, removed them and put a dab of non-acid RTV (GE II or III, I forget) on those top holes only (lower holes left open)

Not sure how many lives this thing has, but back again for now:

New station located in Naples Florida. This station is on the water with sunset views of the horizon of the Gulf of Mexico. Local time UTC+5 or EST. Present sunset time about 18:30 EST. Be sure to favorite this if you like it. Best.
