no web page
« on: February 18, 2017, 01:27:33 PM »
I uploaded the files and folders to my website but am still getting the welcome page. I do not see a index.html file in the list of files. I know the page won't show without it. Why didn't it upload with the info. Do i need to drop the info into the public html folder? I am using godaddy with the cpanel set up.

you need to have a index.htm or index.html file on that web site
(this has been explained to you on the WD forum, where you have been getting help on this issue, but looks like you have decided to use cumulus)

ok got cumulus working. One thing i have to use victoriatexasweather.com/index.htm to get to the site. It will not go to the site without the add on.

Well i use weather display for my main weather site. A friend help me set it up and is really good at it. What i am trying to do is set up my own site that i can handle by myself and not rely on him so much. I am not too good at this kind of stuff. I was wondering if it is too complex to add a link to the website like to my ip camera or another site.

the  author of cumulus does not post on this forum
so that is why I am helping out here

you only learn by asking questions (no matter how dumb they are), and as long as you take the time to listen and follow directions and not give up, then you will learn and succed

If you want to add a link to another website from your www.victoriatexasweather.com  you can edit the navigation section in indexT. htm in your Cumulus/web folder to wherever you want to add.

Enjoy,
Paul

If you just want to add a webcam pages it's pretty straight forward, take a look at my site which has 2 webcams on a separate page. Cumulul will display the webcam link once you add it to the options.

Jachym helped me out a lot with the code (Thanks for that), and a few others also contributed to make it look like the other Cumulus pages.

Only thing I'm still a bit stumped on is how to get the Navigation Bar font size the same as the other pages.

Phil.

Phil, try adding the following line right at the very top of the webcam HTML, above the <html> tag, like this:

Code: [Select]
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
