Current Condition Icons
« on: April 24, 2008, 09:35:51 AM »
Aren't there more "current condition" icons out there somewhere? I'm using VWS software and would love to get rid of the smilie faces! I know the ones that display now come from Wunderground but is there a way to utilize other ones?

If you're sending your data to the weatherforyou.com/HAMweather Personal Weather Station Program there are a couple available at http://www.weatherforyou.com/pwstools/  If you're just looking for general images http://www.weatherforyou.com/snapshots/ has a wide variety.  In both cases we'll do customization.  ;)

I could be wrong, but I think what he's looking for is a set of icons to use for VWS's "current conditions" instead of using the default VWS icons that come from wunderground. He's tired, like I was, of the "chubby cheeked" icons ("smilie faces") that default from wunderground.

Regarding Leo's suggestion, I think those icons are copyrighted and probably cannot be used on personal web sites?

Kevin is correct. I'd rather have more professional looking icons than the chubby guy pictures.
