I read about a growing number of people that now have access to the new Wunderground API so I figured I'd try it again to see. https://www.wunderground.com/member/api-keys is the correct URL, right? Cuz it just keeps taking me to a login page over and over again.

i cant help much its not a template problem more of a wu problem but looking around the forum i see reference to it being realated to browser or password change at some stage go here and have a browse through http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=36207.msg372335;topicseen#msg372335

i only primarily use safari and only ever use the same login email/password i setup in jan 2015 ive never changed it but i cant confirm anyones findings as i just logged in and voila ..have a browse through the thread mentioned might have some ideas ,solutions..ps i dont upload to wu have not since jan 2017 ..

a problem that is related to,the api some locations at around 3pm local time return a null for todays or 1st period of the forecast not every location but verified using istanbul lat lon .ive added a fallback to overcome the null basically if null switch to next period ..

output containing nulls below from this afternoon

I've noticed the null appear in the late afternoon (local time) as the 'day' forecast period is passed.  That puts the first 'Tonight' forecast as the first valid forecast.  Seems to be the way the new API works...

hello ken

yes its a daily thing not sure why something at wu but a simple  if == null eradicates the null displaying.. also im sorry i cant help,with cumulus version much these days the code between the two now has changed considerably used to be able to just drop anything from meteobridge version into the cumulus version quite easily .. anyway glad your keeping it alive .. have a great weekend whats left of it .. brian

Hello again, Brian!
In one of your posts you said that the introduction of another measurement system involves a lot of work to change different files.
Everything works fine, but unfortunately the daily, monthly and annual schedules remained unchanged.
Maybe in order not to go too deep into this work it makes sense to make changes in the meteobridge.sql to have a correction factor working in it already?
To the database already loaded the required number?

hello alexey

not at the moment needs some time perhaps a few hours to work it out and find the best practice so not to break any other conversions etc..you can always add the simple mmHg conversion to each barometer chart file for now..

for example top of each barometer files
 todaybarometer.php
 monthlybarometer.php
 yearlybarometer.php

simply delete

Code: [Select]
$conv = 1;
if ($uk == true) {$conv= '1';}
if ($units == 'uk' && $windunit == 'mph') {$conv= '1';}
else if ($windunit == 'mph') {$conv= '(1.8) +32';}
else if ($windunit == 'm/s') {$conv= '1';}
else if ($windunit == 'km/h'){$conv= '1';}

and just add to each file

Code: [Select]
$conv = 0.0075006157584566;
if you mess it up let me know i can simply send you three files for your own use..brian

firstly thanks to lightmaster who took the time to orderly the recent changes to the metarnearby popup which displays the common metric/non metric etc , lightmaster was good enough to take it a step firther and order according to your metric set in setup screen ...confused ? cant find a simple to explain it

also thanks as I have been monitoring chucks (prestwick) wu forecast output i was able to polish of the value to reflect storms present in the forecast also updated few alignments.

thanks to paul wilman for the reminder of adding solartoday charts when using the wu forecast option for UVINDEX ..

available via https://github.com/weather34/Meteobridge-Weather34-Template

take the time to see what files need updating ..often some files just have very small changes or very significant changes ..brian

Hello, Brian!
Here is you can look, as this looks on this page: https://xn--10-6kcwaznenhomt1p.xn--p1ai/
In the upper left corner of the maximum display for the day? I noticed that the time is always "00: 00", so it should be?
I'm sorry to waste your time, but could you possibly do something about the almanac?

good morning alexey

for almanac you can just add the conversion *0.0075006157584566 to the following  lines file livedata.php

Code: [Select]
//pressure
//yesterday
$baromaxoriginalDateb0 = $meteobridgeapi[136];
        $baromaxtimeyest = date("H:i", strtotime($baromaxoriginalDateb0));
$barominoriginalDateb1 = $meteobridgeapi[138];
        $baromintimeyest = date("H:i", strtotime($barominoriginalDateb1));
$weather["thb0seapressydmaxtime"] = $baromaxtimeyest; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressydmintime"] = $baromintimeyest; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressydmax"] = $meteobridgeapi[135]*0.0075006157584566;
$weather["thb0seapressydmin"] = $meteobridgeapi[137]*0.0075006157584566;

//month
$baromaxoriginalDateb2 = $meteobridgeapi[140];
        $baromaxtimemonth = date("jS F", strtotime($baromaxoriginalDateb2));
$barominoriginalDateb3 = $meteobridgeapi[142];
        $baromintimemonth = date("jS F", strtotime($barominoriginalDateb3));
$weather["thb0seapressmonthmaxtime"] = $baromaxtimemonth; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressmonthmintime"] = $baromintimemonth; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressmmax"] = $meteobridgeapi[139]*0.0075006157584566;
$weather["thb0seapressmmin"] = $meteobridgeapi[141]*0.0075006157584566;

//year
$baromaxoriginalDateb4 = $meteobridgeapi[144];
        $baromaxtimeyear = date("jS F", strtotime($baromaxoriginalDateb4));
$barominoriginalDateb5 = $meteobridgeapi[146];
        $baromintimeyear = date("jS F", strtotime($barominoriginalDateb5));
$weather["thb0seapressyearmaxtime"] = $baromaxtimeyear; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressyearmintime"] = $baromintimeyear; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressymax"] = $meteobridgeapi[143]; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressymin"] = $meteobridgeapi[145]; //seconds

//all time
$baromaxoriginalDateb6 = $meteobridgeapi[148];
        $baromaxtimeall = date("jS F Y", strtotime($baromaxoriginalDateb6));
$barominoriginalDateb7 = $meteobridgeapi[150];
        $baromintimeall = date("jS F Y", strtotime($barominoriginalDateb7));
$weather["thb0seapressamaxtime"] = $baromaxtimeall; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressamintime"] = $baromintimeall; //seconds
$weather["thb0seapressamax"] = $meteobridgeapi[147]*0.0075006157584566;
$weather["thb0seapressamin"] = $meteobridgeapi[149]*0.0075006157584566;

as for 00:00 perhaps that was the max time for that actual day looking now i see 01:01 screenshot below from your site

What is the proper workflow to do the following..

1. Clone - Download github template to a personal website directory?
2. Edit the settings php file
3. Use git pull command to update that personal website directory with latest changes from master branch ongoing?

I have access to ssh & cpanel config for my personal website...

If there is another / better way I'm all ears to keep my website up to date with latest files without rebuilding it each time.

In ssh, you have "git" installed?

Yes, that's the easy way.. however, if your site is on a shared-hosting server, you likely won't have 'git' installed, and you'd need to have sudoers ability to install it on the webserver (not likely on a shared hosting server).

What may be easier for shared hosting, is to install git on your local system (https://git-scm.com/downloads ), do the clone to a directory there, use the 'git pull' to do updates, then just upload the changed files to your shared website.

Since I have my own VPS with root access, I do what you suggested as my normal process for the test website :)

Hello, Brian!
I did as you told me. But for some reason in the almanac is still all as in the picture in the application. Livedata.php attached. By the way in the file barometeralmanac.php I noticed setpoint boundaries for millibars, mm Hg out my post beyond the border.

attached livedata.php with add the number_format
 example
Code: [Select]
$weather["thb0seapressymax"] =  number_format($meteobridgeapi[143]*0.0075006157584566,2);//max
$weather["thb0seapressymin"] =  number_format($meteobridgeapi[145]*0.0075006157584566,2);//min

Figured it out.. had to remove hidden .git in public_html...

Then ran command git clone https://github.com/weather34/Meteobridge-Weather34-Template.git .

Git pull now working from root of site.

good morning

last few days tediously re doing the icons in terms colour shades more balanced used a Pantone matching chart and had to calibrate my monitor to match the Pantone chart quite tedious but really beneficial in seeing the shades .screenshot see below

gregory asked for a better reflection for temperatures below zero being that he is up north in the artic circle somewhere it makes sense  however Im never likely to see below -7c for any length of time our winters often bottom out at -1 to -5c for very relatively short periods of a couple of days.. screenshot see below.

as for Github cloning I use two apps one is coda(mac) which i primarily design code which it has a github plugin or I use a new recently installed app(mac) for pushing updates this also pulls changes to and from a dedicated locally run XAMPP install on an monitor-less old mac mini mid 2010(my local server via Lan). Im no expert on github and new to it as I said before wish i adhered to someones advice a few years ago I might be able to help or being of some use..

as always https://github.com/weather34/Meteobridge-Weather34-Template

im off the radar for a few weeks from Saturday off to UK and then back into a wedding season many relatives getting married this year so quite a lot of travelling around turkey in the next month or so then moving house so not much time to do anything and as of 1st May it will all be handed over new repo and new developer to keep it alive and if it don't work out I see very little wrong in this version as it is however who knows so many things I just don't see or remember to check.. so Github is your new source and friend :-) ..have fun..brian

Great stuff as usual Brian.

Good luck with the move, and if your family gatherings are anything like Brits (Think "Old Lace and Arsenic") - Make the most of a few tipples !
Imagine what you will KNOW tomorrow !

Thanks i wouldn't call it  a masterpiece of art programming just inspired by sites like dribbble but how far can your imagination go and if I had a disposable income and time  id buy 9 27inch monitors and and if I had my own basement(man cave) this is what boredom can produce..in each monitor just using a module .thanks and do keep an eye open for new info around end of April ..

boredom but feasible :-)

Hello Brian!

I just installed your template and I am awed by the amazing look!
http://dashboard.txweather.org

My only problem is that the modules show randomly for me on my browser Chrome/Firefox both the latest on Linux Fedora 28 x86_64
It could be just me or is it there something wrong with my config?

good evening

no expert on linux but looking in the dev console of safari you have internal server 500 errors flagged most likely due to low resources .you need to increase the memory limit
in the server php.ini .however dont ask me where that resides on your server .. also cautionary note if its a low cost hosted sharing package you may be limited by the hosting company package itself ..
