5 in 1 temperature reading
« on: January 30, 2018, 09:12:20 AM »
My 5 in 1 appears to have an issue the thermometer.  Right now it shows 31.1 F.  The Temp & Humidity Sensor is reading 33.4 F
Nearby stations Nearby stations are reading 33 to 35 and the local airport (2 miles air distance) is showing 36

Is the sensor in the 5 in 1 replaceable?  I am using Meteobridge and made an adjustment in the software. That is just a band-aid

The 5 and 1 was showing 31....what was showing 33.4? A different sensor on your property?

I always see a slight various between my 5 in 1's and some of the other locations. I have a feeling that's due to the elevation. If the second sensor nearby is showing a different temp, it could be the other sensor that's off? I've found the 5 in 1 to be pretty accurate.

You can replace the temp/humidity module on a 5n1 (it's a $10 part from Acurite), but I see nothing here that indicates the temp/humidity module is "bad".

The temp difference may simply be due to local conditions and/or the bit of variation in each sensor chip.  (In this case a Sensirion SHT21)
