Looks like www.wxqa.com's DNS servers aren't responding and the site is down. Does anyone know if there is an alternate location for updates on the outage?

NO! Philip emailed that the Server "dropped off the internet". Someone else with better technical knowledge will chime in, but for now it is gone.

Thanks -- yeah I did a little debugging and DNS isn't resolving:

If you do a whois lookup for wxqa.com is shows that the DNS servers are DNS1.PEAKPEAK.COM and DNS2.PEAKPEAK.COM and those two servers have failed. Just going to www.peakpeak.com fails, So it looks like his ISP/Hosting site is down.

Philip told me that the host server has gone out of business with no advance notice. He advised to be patient for a replacement. To think I spent 3 days thinking that my computer was blocking the site!

I just checked and http://www.wxqa.com is back up again. The "News" area has a brief explanation.

Jan 10, 2015 - The web service provider that has been hosting this web site has gone out of business. There was no notice given before the end of service. The site is being restored and hosted by the findu.com server.

I see that with mine from time to time also.  In CWOP where you can add other nearby stations to your charts for comparison I've seen where segments are missing from mine but the others are still in place and vice-versa, theirs have pieces missing and mine there. Selective outages I guess.

Upon closer review - i.e. last 12 hours, I see there have been breaks in my upload. Hmm, interesting.  I had this problem previously but thought it was corrected after I changed ISP providers.  Will have to investigate further.

Thee seem to be server issues... but... somehow the data is still being fed to Mesonet,.... Phil may not be aware of the issues with web display... I'd think there is no data 'lost' since I see no failures to upload, and Mesonet is receiving the data....
