hdtvluvr -- how did you hook up the lamp cord to the battery terminals in the battery compartment --what wire to what battery connection?

My two cents is to spend the $20 and buy the official solution:

https://www.amazon.com/AcuRite-06052M-Battery-Weather-Sensors/dp/B01HDW57T6

This thread was started because the official solution did not exist at the time, and by the time you buy the outdoor-rated wire and a battery holder you'll be in for about $20 anyway.....
WU Gold Stars for everyone!

vreihen -- While I appreciate your .02 cents, I already have the 3v dc wiring in place -- I just need to know how to hook the wiring up in the battery compartment.

hdtvluvr -- Please review my earlier post directed to you and reply.  Thanks in advance.
