As a new member who’s just getting into this area I don't know where everything is out on the web. I see there are dedicated discussion groups for certain products, but I have to go off and search using Google in order to find what everyone's talking about...
May I suggest a sticky at the top of forums dedicated to specific manufacturers that link to the manufacturer’s site?
For example, the “Davis Instruments Weather Stations” and "WeatherLink by Davis Instruments" forums would each have a sticky as the first topic (titled "Manufacturer link" perhaps?) containing the link to Davis instruments (
http://www.davisnet.com/ -- make it as basic a link that'll work so it'll reduce the possibility that web site changes will break it). "Virtual Weather Station by Ambient" would have a first-post sticky containing
http://www.ambientweather.com/, etc.
This would help the newcomers find their way around much more easily.
