I have the anemometer part but no sender.

Would surely trade for a rain gauge and sender

Hi.

Here is my situation.

My 3 years old wind sensor on my WMR 200A stop turning.

I decided to buy a brand new WMR86A and used the new component to repair the 200. It cost me 100$ CDN here in Canada. Just checked 2 min ago and the price went from 100$ to 115$ in a few days. Weird.

Now I have a spare rain gauge, temp sensor and console. I am looking to get just the rotating cup under the wind sensor then I will be able to used the 86A at my cottage.

So, if you cannot find parts I could suggest if you want to do the same thing.
Here is the link   http://radioworld.ca/wmr86a-p-11608.html

Also if you note the rain gauge sell for 45$ CDN      http://radioworld.ca/pcr800-p-5807.html
might as well be the complete 86A

Maybe you could find a cheeper price in the USA. All the parts are interchangeable.

Hope this suggestion can help you.

Cheers.

I am not sure which parts you need to interchange but 86 with 200 yes.

I would contact Oregon and the ladies should tell you for sure as she did for me.

Oregon Scientific says the rain gauge will not work with a 968 because they have different protocols.

Good thing you called.

The 968 seem to be a better station than the 86 and 200 and that might be the reason.

I should've read the spec:  PCR800 Oregon Scientific Wireless Rain Gauge for Professional Weather Station is compatible with the WMR80A, WMR90A, WMR100, WMR100N, WMR200 and WMR88A professional weather stations.

I don't see what model the 968 use. Did the person at Oregon told you?

The WMR-968 uses the RGR-968 rain gauge which uses an older protocol. She did not give specifics on which protocols.

Too bad.

I've look on their web site and the specific rain gauge is not advertised.

Funny they do not use all the same.

If I see someone on the net who is giving is rain gauge or parts for it, I'll let you know.

Good luck.
