I can't fault CWOP for the minuscule amount of advertising they have, because I know how much it costs to run a "professional hobby" like this.  And Google AdWords is not going to make anyone rich.  I even buy ads targeted to that site because I believe in what he's doing.  In his news he said how much a server costs (which for what he described is a screaming deal), but that doesn't include the cost of it being co-located at a data center which is probably a monthly charge.  You don't just put a server like that in a closet at the end of a DSL line and expect reasonable performance.  He's providing a service to weather station owners and the public.  weatherforyou.com was established to support efforts like his, and we'll continue to buy ads on that site plus support it in any other way we can.
