Great IP cam with low light ability
« on: October 30, 2017, 12:12:55 PM »
I use to us an IP cam that had PTZ ability.  Problem was they were never designed to look up, or in my case not look up high enough I did not catch my neighbors house in the frame.  The other problem was it was so dismal at night I would turn the feed off after sunset.

So I started searching around on the https://ipcamtalk.com/
And found this camera: http://www1.dahuasecurity.com/products/ipc-hfw8232e-z-6451.html
I do not work for these guys:
I now have this: [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And yes it sees very well at night: [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Yes it was on the expensive side, but I am blown away at the night time images.

Keep in mind this camera was meant for security work., but it makes for a fantastic weather camera.  I am still playing around with the settings.  But I like it.

Pretty spendy for a 2 MP cam.  You can get a Stardot for about the same at Black Friday sale time.

Amazon has it listed for less. Estimated delivery: Dec. 5, 2017 - Dec. 7, 2017
If I can use Amazon I do especially when dealing with overseas orders.
