good morning

unfortunately im no longer using the WS1001 so i cant confirm anything anymore in reference to this model. however i initially just added
a .htaccess mod before my host fully enabled ssl at all methods initially my domain was only SSL but was notified sometime ago that all access ssl is enabled ftp etc.. . here was my snippet i used for a few months .

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^weather\.com [NC]
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} 80
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.weather.com/$1 [R,L]

hope it is of help if not i guess can always try the port 443 ..brian

Good evening Brian,

Thank you for your response. I tried your .htaccess snippet and port 443 but no go and then it struck me that the obvious solution was staring me in the face. Why send the data to an external URL when I running my own server, I just need to use the local name which just happens to be wxserver.

So Server=wxserver.local/pws/ effectively by-passed SSL.

Some tips I have also pieced together from various other discussions: - Anybody who is using a Windows based server for this method. You may have to install ‘Bonjour’. The quickest and easiest way to do this is to install the Windows version of iTunes which includes ‘Bonjour’. If your server is Unix based (macOS or Linux), you should be OK.

I tried it on a Mac Mini (macOS), Raspberry Pi2 (Raspbian) and Intel NUC (Windows 10) and all worked flawlessly. However, I found on the Pi2 I needed to open ports 6000 and 6500 which was not the case with MacOS or Windows which I found rather strange.

Anyway, a solution if anybody needs to use it.

Ian

glad you got somewhere and resolved something in regards to WS1001 .. we live and learn everyday..brian

We sure do and that is why the community of weather enthusiasts is so great. There is always somebody to lend a hand and give advice and on occasions the encouragement to work it out for ourselves!

Hello again.
I hope not to bore you.
I have experimented a little more.
My ws1001 still does not send to my template.
I know nothing about IT technology, - a little more about weather  :-)
But I can do what is in a user's manual  :-)

I'm as sure as I can be that everything is set up properly - (Server.ini, easyweathersetup.php, location of weatherstation folder on server, etc.)

I have now noticed that when the configured Server.ini is installed on the console, my router performs strangely. The computers in the house often lose connection to the Internet, and it is necessary to turn off the console and restart the router.

Is it possible that the problem is in the router. Can the console send something that the router can not handle properly?
There are a lot of settings in the router, which I do not understand the meaning of.

The router is a Tilgin HG1351, which is delivered by my ISP. I have learned that it is possible for my ISP to change settings in my router.

Is there anyone who can tell if the problem may be in the router?

Hello Mogens

Your looking in the wrong place

Go back to your original quote from a few days ago

“I have a problem similar to one mentioned in this thread

My Internet Service Provider was sold to another company, and the other day, all files were moved to another server.
Since then, I have not been able to display my weather page correctly.
No current data is displayed.
The historical data - day, month, year - is still displayed correctly.”

Nothing todo with your router unless you changed that as well , your ws1001  with template up to the point your server changed company .. I would be looking at server.

If you are using the server.ini with two urls in it you can via the console select one or the other

One has no www one has www. Try either other those .

It’s not boring I just can’t check with ws1001 has it is no longer installed here..

Forget about router focus on server ..

I made the changes to display the AQI but updating the aqi.php to the latest version breaks the script.

Does anyone know how to define your stations with the newest update?

info folder ! all pop ups other than charts all in one place now reside in the info folder

i should reiterate its only useful if the AQI station is nearby otherwise its not much use if it is far like 30km or more

i think even at 10-20km its quite a variation to localized conditions , i have one aprox 1km and the other is aprox 5km line of sight the difference is vast at times simply due to the one at 5km is in a very busy populated city built area the one at 1km is basically in a less populated area near the sea..

Brian

Hello again
Finally after fourteen days, it seems that my template is running again stable.

Thank you for insisting that I should look at the server.
I have communicated with a supporter who has helped modify the .htaccess file.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Brian,

Downloaded the latest and greatest.  Noticed in one of your online instructions (https://www.weather34.com/homeweatherstation/setupmeteobridge.html), you reference the /MDBFILES/ vs /MBDBFILES.  Something you may want to correct as your .zip does not contain a folder called /MDBFILES.

To my issue.  Rebooted Meteobridge, grabbed latest image today.  Loaded all files, created new DB in Ubuntu, ensured I updated and activated PHPv7.1, tested access to SQL via command line successfully, purged tables, etc...  All good.  Template looks fine except for some reason, forecast is in metric vs imperial.

But the big issue and question is this.  I can't get Meteobridge to connect to http://server/mbridge/mb.php.  If I put that into a webbrowser, I can hit a blank page.  So we know the page is good.  But Meteobridge throws an error.
Error: Home Weather Station:

Try by IP, same thing.  If I shorten and point to http://server/mb.php, another error, but a different error.
Error: Home Weather Station: <br />

But, I'm getting raw data into my MBrealtimeupload.txt file.  Unsure how that's happening!  The MB is not pushing any data there via any configured Services for http.  Speaking of that, I setup the (3) HTTP uploads, can get to them in a web browser, yet when hitting "TEST" on each one, I'm getting various errors:

STATION CRON
2017-10-14 13:02:27 Error: Read error (Connection timed out) in headers. (no more tries)

ADD TO YEAR
2017-10-14 13:13:22 Error: #!/usr/local/bin/php.cli Couldn"t fetch records (no more tries)

EMPTY
2017-10-14 13:14:45 Error: #!/usr/local/bin/php.cli (no more tries)

My assumption is, MB API call to /mb.php isn't working as the script in there to offload data that will make it's way to the db isn't able to perform.  My db shows the table with all the fields but after the purge, there is no data, which makes sense.

Any thoughts on where to look?

Thanks,

Steve

Good Evening

now adds support for AIR QUALITY INDEX for all versions . it is defined from the lat/lon settings within the template you need to obtain a token key from here http://aqicn.org/data-platform/token/#/
i had planned on using the station id api but seems not so friendly to actually find the station ID unless you know where to look so using the lat lon feature is far friendlier and quicker for setup.*note this service is using the official API and does not scrape from within a web page hence the token key is required.

update also includes http service for meteobridge-api users to utilize the function available in meteobridge itself. very efficient way of calling specific data via api limitations.
in time I will exploit all the advantages of the meteobridge capabilities.

*weather display API will be available in due course I am unavailable from the 23rd Oct to Nov 2nd so hopefully it will be available shortly after that date.

Nice update!

I did notice one issue that I verified on another users page as well. The forecast is showing in metric on the dashboard even though non-metric units are selected in the settings. If you go to the forecast summary and forecast ahead, the correct units are shown. WD-5X version.

Hello Brian

I saw on our site that weatherflow stations would be supported, I received a week ago the hub and air module (sky is planned for ???)

Is your script mature enough to be released for these stations (via api I guess) ?
I don't minf testing it ..

thanks

Hello

It’s been done for months but I have been waiting for sky unit to come out of field test period.
When the units are officially released I will release the template in a full weatherflow  variant. Right now releasing a version just for the Air model is not worth it as the features of the wind and rain,uv,solar would be non existent unless you have the sky model as well? But if you want too add on the lightning sensor I have a simple script which would work with existing template.

I suppose I could knock up a simple method to allow the Air model to be displayed as a second sensor for temp, hum, dew alongside existing hardware, how does that sound.

Drop me a pm with your weatherflow station ID.

Just abiding the NDA ..

I have been trying to get the dashboard template WD-X5MYSQL going for a week and all seems to function with exception of the Forecasts, AQI and Current conditions.  My WU developer api key and AQI key are correct and the conversation with Weather Display, current version is working.
Any hints?
