PWS logged 9.34" of rain...no way!
« on: July 07, 2013, 09:43:19 AM »
PWS looks like it's buggering up my data some (or my system is, which is most likely).   According to PWS we got 9.34 inches of rain yesterday!!!...a short clip from the June 6 PWS daily chart showing some of the "recorded" rain, compare rainfall with rain/rate.  :???:

I'm also seeing that for June I've only got data showing up in the monthly chart from the 9th to the 15th.  I can pull up data from the 16th onward via the daily charts, though.  I can't remember my start date but it very well have been around the 8th of June.  That would explain the absence of data prior to the 9th, but why is there just a week's worth of plotted data in the middle of the month for June?

I'm beginning the wonder about the worthiness of uploading to PWS...or maybe the worthiness of my data?  :???:

Ed

PS...  CWOP, WU, and www.beeweather.com all agreed on 1.57" of rain for June 6th.

Depending on the software you use, there is a bug in how precipitation is displayed in the top summary.  This is on the list to be corrected during an upcoming major maintenance update.

Thanks for the fast reply, Joe!  I'm using Cumulus v1.9.4 b1079.   Would that bug also cause only a week-long (9th-15th) data graph in the middle of June to be created but still allow data for individual days after the 15th to be shown?  I'm just trying to sort out if I need to do something or not.  It sounds like I just need to be patient and wait for the maintenance update.  ;)

Take care,
Ed
