Topic: WU URL Webcams?

Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone is still able to use the URL webcam feature on WU. I have had a bit of a saga trying to get mine to work. I realize everyone is annoyed/frustrated with WU of late due to lack of service/functionality - but I just wanted to make sure once and for all that it's nothing that I am doing wrong.

Brief history:

I had established an FTP uplink to WU webcams which was working fine until mid-Sept 2016 (when it seemed lots of them went down). I then reestablished it briefly but it was unreliable through November. Then WU put out their notice saying they were shutting down all webcam features. In frustration (and after reading some advice on this forum) - I purchased an account with webcam.io. My weather images have been ftp updating there ever since. THEN - WU changed it's mind and reversed the webcam decision. However, I can only push FTP to one place with my camera (and I'd already paid a year at webcam.io) - so I didn't want to stop the push there. Plus WU had been unreliable before with FTP at the best of times. However, I like the webcam map feature on WU - and I would like to get mine back up if possible.

Anyways, my only option to get images back on WU is to use the URL feature. I've been trying for months to get it to work by linking the most recent image address from webcam.io and letting WU collect it. They keep either rejecting my camera and/or ignoring it. Plus, I don't see any way to delete old webcams on WU so I keep being forced to add new cameras every time I try. Pretty ridiculous.

The url I am telling WU to collect the image from is below:

Does anyone see why this won't work? - or - is it just that WU is not actually even trying to collect my images?

Now I have 6 inactive webcams that I can't get rid of and can't get anything to show up. Pretty frustrating... Any help would be appreciated.

My Bloomsky however https://www.wunderground.com/webcams/PaulMy/4/show.html is showing https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=IONTARIO1189
I've just learned to be patient and let Shaun and crew get things organized again.

I can tell you they don't allow removing inactive cameras or weather stations from account  for some odd reason. I always thought so they could make some brag claim as how many they had.
There are other threads where some have had luck with WU grabbing image but others say no. Even FTP is hit and miss. They are working on all issues but its a slow process.
