Topic: Using USB Serial Adapter for Wx Station and Lightning

Recent storms fried my Express Card Serial Adapter.  I tried the card on a new Toshiba 305 w/ no luck, so I was able to return that.
The card kept loading as a serial mouse. Never had this happen before and forcing the serial mouse drvr to disabled didn't work either.

So I pulled out my old Cablemax 2.0 USB Serial w/ built-in FTDI and it works. I had to trick VirtualVP into not seeing the other USB Serial used for the lightning detector. WD/VWS reports zero errors.

The standard USB Serial adapter purchased from BestB didn't work.
