Vantage Vue on Fox Island, WA
« on: December 23, 2009, 12:53:47 AM »
My new Vantage Vue as of 12/16/09.  Kind of an early Christmas present.

The top of the mounting pipe is 7 feet from ground level.  The general lay of the land is a northeast facing slope surrounded by tall fir trees.  The top of the hill is at 345' above sea level and I'm about 180 feet so I'm sure my wind speed and direction are going to be skewed.

The first picture is facing west and the second is facing east.  I still need to clear some brush.

Weather Station:Vantage Vue
Weather Monitor II until June 2010
OS: Win 7 on a HP Pavilion e9110t.  WeatherLink 5.9
Location: Fox Island, WA

Nice....do you know (does Davis cover this) how high you can rise the ISS from the last support bracker, wire, etc?  I know from experience if you mount it higher than the 'wobble' point it can effect your rain measurement.
