VP2 with WifiLogger

looking to buy my first weather station.   I liked the idea of the WU special for Rainwise with no console, but I’m afraid the lack of FARS would lead to overstated afternoon temps.   So I decided to go with V2 #6153 with weatherlink & Weatherbridge.   But then last evening I read in here about WIFILogger. 

As a noob, is #6153 + WIFILogger all I need, or am I better off with weatherlink & weatherbridge? 

Or should I try #6153 + Weatherbridgepro?

Yes, and that is a great combination to do uploads without computer running 24/7.

Yes, It's all you need.  :-)
But I'm still not certain what you can get from weatherlink.com if you never had a weatherlink Logger/subscription. Not a big deal because you can absolutely upload to Wunderground, CWOP, AWEKES, PWS.... I had a previous account with weatherlink so I get its features too, and you may be able too as well. I'm just not certain about that one issue. Also, WiFiLogger doesn't work with Alexa...not yet anyway :lol:

Good station choice, I hope the fan works out for you. It doesn't have the best track record. It needs regular care (maybe twice a year). So try not to put it somewhere that's impossible to reach.

Are you going to try it out? Let my know how it works out if so. I haven't yet made the leap to Alexa automation but almost everything I own lately has its capability from what I've seen.

I’ll definitely try it.  I use Alexa extensively.  My favorite use is for controlling the TV.

When I go to Wunderground they no longer provide free API keys.

wow - I didn't know that.  I got mine several years ago and it still works, even though I haven't used it since January (when I had a Pebble Watch)
