Mismatched data between Acurite display and MyAcurite website
« on: September 20, 2017, 06:05:23 PM »
I asked the below question on the acurite website but George Nincehelser's explanation to a previous Acurite user with the same problem doesn't seem to answer the question. His response from the Acurite website follows my question below:

How would this mismatch discrepancy be explained:

My top wind speeds today:
06058M Display:  12:59pm 10mph
           MyAcurite:   1:45pm 7mph

If myacurite is updating all the time but only refreshes every 5 minutes would that account for the fact that myacurite totally missed the 10mph wind that occurred between the refreshes of 12:55pm and 1:00pm and which were duly noted on my display?

wind data d/l from myacurite are last 3 columns below:
12:55 PM 73.9 75 65 75 77.7 74 29.98 0 2 4 158
  1:00 PM 73.4 76 65 74 76.6 73 29.98 0 4 3 203

George D. Nincehelser:
"Wind speed updates your display ever 18 seconds.
Wunderground is updated every 36 seconds.
myAcurite updates all the time depending on how many sensors you have, but the web page only auto-refreshes ever 5 minutes."

I'd appreciate it if you kept conversations in the same forum and thread so context could be maintained.

Downloaded data from myAcurite is aggregated to 5 minutes.
