WL SAVING DATA TO A FILE
« on: March 12, 2019, 12:36:44 AM »
I am trying to set up IPTIMELAPSE to put my camera snapshot on my website. I want to put the temperature + wind over the bottom of the image. IPTIMELAPSE has an option to take the weather data from a file. My problem is I am not sure how to get WXLINK to dump the weather text into a file (The file will be on my PC)   so IPTIMELAPSE will retrieve it.  Is that something WL will even  do?

It sounds like you might want just a few specific readings listed in a new text file eg every 5 minutes? In that case use the Internet Settings facility** and create a .htx template file for the parameters you require and set it to be processed every 5 mins. Look at WL Help for further details.

** Just because it's called Internet Settings doesn't mean you have to upload the processed file to a website. It is a general purpose templating feature that will happily save a file to specified local folder location.

Sorry, but I don't usually have time to help with individual issues by email unless you are a Prodata customer. Please post your issue in the relevant forum section here & I will comment there if I have anything useful to add.
