Do I need to use the WeatherLink PCLink Automation in VWS?
« on: June 05, 2014, 05:03:32 PM »
I have been having problems with VWS (version 15.00 P02) hanging at 12:15am at night. This is when I have the "WeatherLink PCLink Automation" scheduled to occur.  I'll check my VWS in the morning and the clock is stuck at 12:15am. This happens about once a week.

The question I have is, why am I running this feature?  I never use the WeatherLink software, only VWS.  Can I live without this PCLink scheduled?

You don't need the PC Link automation.  VWS runs without it.

If you want the WLink data for backup just in case, shutdown your 3rd party software  every so often and start WLink and download data, when its done restart your VWS software. How often you need to do it depends on archive interval for WeatherLink.
