Topic: Wind Sample and Wind Tx meaning

I've used Davis stations for many years but never really paid attention to those two items when downloading the data.  I'm assuming that the Wind Sample is the number of samples during a your selected interval.  It appears to be something like one sample ever 2.6-2.7 seconds.  My Wind Tx, which I'm assuming is wind transmissions, is always 2 but I'm just wondering what that actually represents.
