Ok, I got back to the computer at the shop and did a little tinkering. My setup is a cable modem going into a Linksys WRT54G router running DD-WRT. I bypassed the router by hooking the cable modem directly to my computer. I'm able to access
www.beeweather.com *and* the weather cam is updating as it should.
Well, at least I've got narrowed down with *something* to do with the router.
The sad part is that I have long ago forgotten both the user name and password to get into the router.
But, even if I could get into it it has been a couple of years since I messed with it so I wouldn't know where to start working. I have been using OpenDNS which I can't even remember "why"...this might have something to do with it. I think it was to protect the weather cam from being backdoored or something.
I'm thinking, in regards to the router, to simply reset it to it's defaults and start over with it and the camera as there has to be something amiss with the settings...though I haven't been in there to mess with it.
Something else... There are three computers on this LAN that run off of the router. I tried to access beeweather.com via one of the other computers hooked to the router and I got the same "time out" notice. This makes me think the problem is more router-oriented.
Thoughts anyone???
Thanks!!!!
