Is this technology finally a good use of drones...

That fact of the matter is that UAVs for hobbies shouldn't be called 'drones'.  I have two (one I built; one I bought) and have been building RC aircraft since I was 12.

And "finally a good use for drones"?  For the vehicles I fly, I know many good uses for them.

Reecom R-1650
Sangean CL-100
Uniden Home Patrol I
