Topic: Noticeable Improvement

My desk sits by a big picture window facing northwest with a perfect view of on coming storms. Last year I would witness many lightning strikes only to be disappointed that they did not show up on the lightning map.

This morning I was awaken by a nice gentile rolling thunderstorm. Watching both the storm and the lightning map, I did not notice a single strike that was not displayed (2.3 seconds later) on the map. Maybe it is the increase of the number of stations in the past year, or the improvements made with the calculations, or both, but there is definitely a noticeable improvement in the number of strikes recorded.
