Weatherlink and Vista
« on: June 20, 2008, 08:42:51 AM »
I have ordered a Vantage Pro and will I have any problems with Weatherlink running on Vista?

What version comes with the station?

How long does the data logger retain data before it overwrites?

Since it looked like you ordered the WeatherLink software from your post in the Davis topic, the version you get is probably 5.8 (latest version), if not you can just download the latest upgrade version from Davis.  The only problem I had with Vista and WeatherLink is that you have to open up the permissions on the folder you install WeatherLink into so it can write data, other than that, I have had no problems.  Have fun

Probably no more than Vista has running itself. ;)

If not the latest, you can always download it. The VP2+ I purchased a couple of months ago came with 5.7.1.

That depends on your chosen archive period.

"The Data Logger stores up to 2560 archive records (one 52-byte record per archive interval) for later transfer to your
computer."

Therefore, a one minute interval would store for 42.67 hours. 5 minutes/8.89 days, 30 minutes/53.33 days, etc.
