Snow Woe's Solved
« on: November 15, 2014, 10:24:54 PM »
WD - Running latest Beta version
PHP ajax
Burnsville weather
Davis Vantage Pro2
http://www.pennlake.us/

Several snow related problems - after e-rice and switching to Burnsville Weather scripts.

First problem after following the instructions - and adding $firstsnowseasonav=’%firstsnowseasonav%’;to my testtags.txt version 1.07 file -I end up with this file in the testtags.php  $firstsnowseasonav=’01 of April’; which produces "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'of' (T_STRING) in /home/pennla7/public_html/testtags.php on line 288"  and my site will not load -removing those files brings the site back to normal.

Problem two: I missed adding the amount of snow the day it happened - so I went to my logfile in WD and added the amount in cm's - shut down wd and restarted. I understand that it should not show up now in the Yesterday amount of snow - because I am really two days behind now.
I did add the snow manually in WD what is it something like Input weather something.
Should that not have added the the date to the "First Snow of Season:" in the Snow section of my main page?? It remains blank.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Thanks to ed2kayak on another forum,

I needed to add both of these ines to my testtag.txt

$firstsnowseason = '%firstsnowseason%';
$firstsnowseasonav = '%firstsnowseasonav%';

Seems to have corrected my problems.
