NexStorm
« on: March 23, 2008, 11:55:08 AM »
I wanted to put an actual size NexStorm screenshot on my web page but 800x600 display mode just wouldn't fit in unless it was reduced.
PHP to the rescue without a reduction or enlargement.
The right side three boxes are moved under the map and the time is moved. The new image is wide as the map.
Take a look at my current 800x600 display...  http://www.weather.ricksturf.com/wxNexstorm.php

Thanks Larry, but I'm stumped on something here...
Why does your text in the copyright string and bottom windows look crisp and mine looks blurry?
I've tried PNG8 and PNG24 and they both look the same.

MadALwx,
I was very reluctant to pay for php but it's a great value because of the benefits. Try it, you'll like it!

A standard account at http://e-rice.net for $10/year is an economical way to get everything you'll need.  I've been very happy there.

Can't say for sure.  :?  I do NOT have font smoothing turned on in the OS (Windows XP) maybe that's causing the difference.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of it myself.  Glad to see it made a difference!   8-)

Thanks for the script! I'm using it on my site and I can finally see the graph again after having it turned off for a few years.  (It was turned off because 800*600 never fit right.) Thanks again.
