Hello all,
Please forgive me if this isn’t the right forum area, or if it’s been asked recently - I did a search, but didn’t find anything.
I’m looking for an iPhone/iPad app that can display a list of PWS near a point and include the most recently reported data for them, especially rainfall amount and rate. Does such an app exist?

Weatherlink is one. it shows davis stations near by. Weather Underground has one.

Thank you for the links. I’ve looked at those, so I guess there’s nothing out there that does what I want. I was hoping I could find a simple app that would just show a list of stations within a certain distance of the specified location (or limited to a certain number of stations - either way), along with the current station readings, especially rainfall amount and rate.

you could use the browser and go to http://www.findu.com/ (http://www.findu.com/)
Weatherunderground seems to be the best one, you have to scroll down the page to the bottom. right now there is a problem with weatherlink and weatherunderground, but I am betting it gets fixed soon.

There used to be an app for Wundermap from WU that allowed you to choose a parameter to display and update in near realtime. I used it quite a bit for precip. The app doesn't appear to be available anymore but that same functionality is available from the web page at: https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap
I think it's responsive for mobile devices, but can't verify that at the moment.

I use MesoWest on my iPad, have not tried it on something smaller. This link is for Houston. You can change the map to your area, then save the link.

On the left side, under Display, Overlay 1, you can then select what you want to display. For Precip, there is 1, 3, 6 and a 24 hour option. When you hover over a station it gives you more information.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I previously used Wundermap, and I liked it, but it won’t even open on recent iPad/iOS devices - unfortunate.
Some of the web pages mentioned come close to what I’m looking for, so I’ll play with those a bit.
I wish there were a simple app that would allow selecting a location, after which it would find the nearest 10-25 stations, then display the data from those stations in a spreadsheet style row & column list to allow easy comparison of the info. Bonus points for allowing the user to select which data to display and the column order of the data, and for allowing drill-down on an individual station’s history info. I’d gladly pay for an app that does this, with or without the useless fancy graphics, icons, alerts, etc. that all apps seem to need these days.

Interesting... " Rainfall measurements are calculated using our custom big data infrastructure and output from NOAA and NWS satellites." Must obviously be using radar rainfall estimates as well.

That’s very interesting, and closer to what I’m looking for - thanks! I installed it, created a login, etc. but it’s only showing a single rain amount per location. I asked a question about it on their chat mechanism, and found out that the “Surrounding” locations in the screenshot are really all additional locations, not an automatic retrieval of other weather stations (just fyi). My search continues...
