FYI:
On Fox Business News this morning they ran a story about Website Owners being sued. The story is 100 companies (website owners) are now being sued for not complying with the Americans Disability Act of 1990.
What they are saying is if visually impaired users can't read your website content the website must be able to verbally communicate the contents. For websites with audio content hearing impaired users must be able to visually view the audio content.
From what I heard it will require websites to be compliant with special software on the users computers to be able to provide this additional content.
The scary part here is the website owners by law are liable for the legal fees!
Has anyone heard about this, or have any additional information?
Concerned;
