Has anyone installed wview on Debian 8.2.0 (jessie)?
« on: October 25, 2015, 04:24:55 PM »
Hi Folks,

New here and looking to get some new software for my Davis Vantage Pro2.  I've used WeatherLink for several years, but i has recently started giving me some trouble.  I have an old laptop sitting around that I've installed Debian 8.2.0 (jessie) on and wanting to explore wview.  I'm getting some errors when I try to install it and wondering if anyone here has been able to successfully get it working.

Thanks!

I tried Jessie, but got a bunch of things that did not work well or at all.  Like VNC.  I am sticking to Wheezy for  a while yet.

Thanks Bushman.  i'd love to install Wheezy, but for the life of me, I can't find an ISO image of it.

Is this what you are looking for?

Thanks Don.  Unfortunately, that link takes you to the "stable" release which is jessie.

@Bushman - I think that one will work!  I'm downloading the 7.0 iso now.

Many thanks!!

Sorry about that. I didn't dig into the deeper links as it was initially referring to Wheezy.
