The GFS is calling for 17" of rain over the next three days over central Georgia! I know, way too much but evidently, mucho rain is on the way.

100 miles north of you, the NWS is only calling for a 30-40% chance of rain this weekend/next week.  I guess we're "fringe" elements up here.

I'll take the rain!  :-)

I'll second that Steve.  I'm downstream, don't use all the rain before it gets to me.
104º heat index here today, same as in Athens today.
40% chance predicted here today and it has already rained 0.38" this afternoon, 80% Saturday.

A few weeks a go I got to 118 and thought I was going to suffocate!  :-)  The air was as thick as I remember feeling. I don't think we've had it as bad as you this year.

It's been so hot here my yard has barely grown an inch in two weeks...well, except for the weeds.  A nuclear holocaust couldn't keep those things from growing.

This was my front yard yesterday while I stood out in the 104 degree heat...

If you look at my webcam you'll see part of my front lawn.  Bermuda that's 3-4" tall and thick as can be. I have to cut it every other day right now and this rain is REALLY going to mess me up. I'll have to raise the deck to keep from scalping it!

Do you water it at all?

Nope.  I HATE mowing.  Plus not having a detestable HOA helps.  Most of my neighbors yards look like this, even the ones that water.

Thanks to an inch of rain so far this week I decided to level out the crabgrass this morning.  The bluegrass is hiding underneath in the shade waiting for fall to come.   ;)

Dewpoint was 75F and the heat index closing in on 100F by the time I finished.  Just riding it was tolerable but trimming and pushing the mower was pushing it.  After about 2 hours out in the soup I was done for the rest of the day.  Got to save a little energy to go back out in it to earn a living tomorrow.
