Here are a couple pics from the new setup of my Davis Vantage Pro2 here in Western Maine. I have the main ISS mounted 7 feet above the ground on a post in the back yard, while I now have the anemometer mounted 18 feet up on the edge of our property bordering the pond for better wind readings than I was getting in the yard. (Already had a 56 MPH gust where it is now mounted 2 days ago!)
I received the Anemometer Transmitter Kit for Christmas, and so that is why I can now separate the two parts. The post the anemometer is mounted on is actually a tree stump, and that is why it isn't exactly 'level'. I have the anemometer screwed into a piece of 2X4 making the anemometer itself perfectly level though. Its the best that I could do considering my location and mounting 'options'. It seems to be working really well too!
