record cold...
« on: January 20, 2008, 01:15:29 PM »
At least in my little corner of the world.  This morning I recorded the lowest temperature on my weather station since it came online in April 2004.  -13 this morning.  That will get the blood pumping when you step out to get the Sunday paper.

Its a little warmer today.  The high is expected to be around 15, but we are expecting 4 to 6 sinces of snow starting this afternoon and ending tomorrow afternoon.  I love Iowa winters.

Oh it was not a heat wave in wisconsin eather. I had a low of -21F this morning. and I belive that would be a recored for my station also. Haveing problems keeping one of my outdoor webcams to keep running. Looks like I am going to have to checkout the prices on heaters for webcams this spring.

Stay warm

Tony.

That is why I names my site De Soto Valley Weather :)
There is a station on the ridge by me that had a low of -14.7 °F on the 19th of this month.

Back on December 19th I came across an article and shared it here in the "Chit Chat" forum.  http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=1170.0  It is interesting that this is MLK weekend and we are all having a "bit" of a cold snap.  Kinda makes that Newsweek article even more interesting.....
