Sky detection

Is there an ad-on for weather stations that can detect sky conditions automatically, like the official ones used at airports, air-force bases, etc.?

If you mean cloud cover and such, it's called a ceilometer ... awfully expensive. How much $$$ do you have? =P~

I keep looking at the Boltwood Cloud Sensor II. It's made for amateur astronomy, but has a lot of appealing features.

BTW, the model with the shortest cable is $1200.
