WS-2080A Losing contact with sensor
« on: March 12, 2014, 09:03:54 AM »
I'm on my second WS-2080A. Returned the first one because it lost contact with the sensor and would not reconnect. My second unit is now losing contact about once per day. I have to remove the batteries in the display, unplug the usb from my computer, and restart my Cumulus software to reset. Unlike the first unit, it will reset. However, it's very frustrating having to do this at least once per day. I have new lithium batteries in the sensor.

Any ideas?

Thanks

mm

Any luck with yours? I have a 2090 that horizontal rain got inside the wind meter and possibly other places. I think that's what killed mine.

Mine seems to have stabilized. Don't know if this is a factor or not but temps have warmed up significantly. I really didn't change anything. I'm now having to reset maybe once every week to ten days.

Good luck.
