Hi Derek, and welcome :)

Just checked your page and all seems well.  The debug code in it returns
Quote
<!-- get-nnvl-iod.php V1.06 - 21-Nov-2010 -->
<!-- cache ./IOD-page-cache.txt current -->
<!-- html loaded from cache ./IOD-page-cache.txt -->
<!-- html size=6434 RC=  -->
<!-- using charsetInput='UTF-8' charsetOutput='ISO-8859-1' -->
<!-- found image at 'http://www.nnvl.noaa.gov/images/low_resolution/661_Bingiza_20110217.jpg' -->
<!-- UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1 conversion done -->
<!-- end of debug output -->
so I have no idea how the '<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC ' got appended to the 'UTF-8' string causing iconv() to malfunction.  Maybe an incomplete page download from the nnvl website??

Best regards,
Ken

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the welcome!! Yes, somehow things are back working so all is good again.

I've been having some really weird ftp issues with E-rice (got a ticket open) and between them and me no telling how that happened. I'm considering possibly changing to a different host with more capability/capacity. I don't mean that as a knock against E-rice though.

Thanks again

Derek
