I have a question for anyone using an Acu-Rite 5-in-1 sensor, like the 01010, 01015, or 01500. Are they still working and accurate after months of use?
I'm considering an 01015 or 1500 (if I can find one), but after a bad Acu-Rite product in the past (00594w) and reading mixed reviews for the 5-in-1 sensors on other sites, I'm wary of a hundred dollar gamble. I really like the features and especially the ability to connect an internet bridge.
With all the weather enthusiasts on this forum, I'd love to hear some opinions from people who actually own one. wxtech did a great comparison between the Acu-Rite and other systems that shows it is as accurate as more expensive setups- is that true for other users as well, and are you still satisfied after using them for a while?
Thanks!

Well, I had one of their Temp only sensor that lasted about 5 years. Started having issues with it losing connectivity. That said, I now have the 75077 (about 3 months old), 01015 (about 10 months) and the web bridge 09150TRX (about 3 months). All are working great.
I have a Regional airport about 8 miles south and my data is close. Not sure if the differences are accurate or not. For example my temp is currently 54 theirs 52. My dewpoint 44, theirs 39, my humidity 70, theirs 62, my pressure 30.20, theirs 30.33. My wind S @ 6, theirs SE @ 8 and no precip at either. My elevation is 394 and theirs is 318.

Thanks for the mention. I sometimes do a webcam image showing the Davis Vue, the 5-in-1, and the NWS max/min. Right now the NWS is 52.0º, the Vue is 51.9º, and the 5-in-1 is 52º. I'm in the process of changing from the Davis to the Acu-Rite equipment. I recently downgraded from a VP2+ to a Vue. The 5-in-1 is much more responsive to wind speed than the Vue. I trust the 5-in-1 temperature over the NWS max/min.

Al, what would lead you to trust the 5-in-1 over the NWS for temperature? :???:

I'm comparing the max/min, 2 Davis, 3 Acu-Rites and a sling psychrometer.

I have had a 5 in 1 up and running for 7 months only problem i have had is the bearings in the wind sensor. The 5 in 1 has been tracking a NWS station about three miles from my location. AcuRite customer service was great and got it taken care of.

Thank you all for your input. I think I'll give it a shot.

I looked at them, but I don't like everything in one unit. I want to get the wind up high around 33' where it belongs, but keep the rain down lower where I can get to it for maintenance and cleaning if it gets plugged up.
