Topic: Problem getting Wdisplay html 5&7 going after reinstall

Had a major crash last week on my weather computer and User Account files got corrupted and couldn't get in and wound up just getting new cpu since old one was pushing 10 years.
Reinstalled Wdisplay and have almost everything back up to speed except creating wx5.html and wx7.html in the Internet File & Creation folder. Go thru the process on both pages but it just won't create the files in my Wdisplay folder and of course won't upload them then to my server. Been a good 15+ years since I set all this up and can't find any notes I might have made of the process back then. The pic shows it's working but it's not.

Did that but none of them (4-5 or 7) show in the C:/wdisplay/webfiles folder that is designated.
I've gone over step by step the instructions from here ... https://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/customise-internet-and-file-creation-setup/53271 but it just doesn't create the files in the folder.

I take it you have checked the Wxlocal 4 to 7 are in the webfiles folder as they are needed to create the wx4 to wx7 files

No they are not. I did a full install with latest version. If someone can give me the wxlocal5 and wxlocal7.html file that I can paste into webfiles folder I'd appreciate it.

I Thought that they are the ones you create yourself for tags that you need, as that's what I have done with mine.
I use wx32 -37 on my site

I cannot remember if wxlocal is in the full install if you have got that file in the webfiles folder copy it and rename with the number on the end and put the tags in it from the tagslist.txt for your website suggest you download the Wx0-7 from your website folder to help with tags you need
I have to assume you never backed up WD off pc and you cannot manually access the files on the old hard drive

As I stated above, I did do a full install as my user account on the cpu was corrupted when it crashed and I had no access to my backup or any wdisplay files. That's why if someone has the template for wx5 and 7 I could paste them into my wdisplay/webfiles folder to see if I could "create" them thru the Customise Internet And File Creation Setup. Also noticed my testtags have not updated as well since crash.

So what is your WX5 and 7 then and you must be able to recreate them again using the custom pages and the tags that you require?

Wx7 was part of my Spaceweather page - https://vermilionweather.com/wx7.php
Wx5 ran my Current and Recent stats page  - https://vermilionweather.com/wx5.php
I ftp th to the server as .html then run a cron job to convert to .php file.

using view source in edge browser i got the info of you html files wx,wx2,wx3,wx4,wx5,wx6 and wx7 copied into notepad++ and saved then copied 5-7 and renamed the copies as wxlocal5.html, wxlocal6.html and wxlocal7.html have put the right tags in wxlocal7 have attached a zip with all wx plus 3 wxlocal  and testtags.txt which your missing you will need to find the the right tags for the values currently in wxlocal5

Well, making some progress. Snag now is testtags are not being fully converted on my wx5.html page.
I'm uploading testtags.php just fine but my converted wxlocal5.html file being uploaded is only converting the top 2 lines of the testtags. The Date & Time and current conditions. All others are not being converted prior to being uploaded to server.
Here is what is happening on the page and my code for the wxlocal5.html
Appreciate any help. My wx7.html page is working fine now and converted everything that was designated.

The wx5.html on you website https://vermilionweather.com/wx5.html suggests the file is not being uploaded what is happening with the wx5.html in you WD webfiles folder
I will test those tags on my test file and see what happens and let you know but it will be evening my time after I have sorted my father tea need my laptop to do it

Yes the wx5.html file is updating in both my webfiles folder on CPU and on the server. I can tell that also by the time and current data updating every 5 minutes on the webpage. Also, I convert the wx5.html file to wx5.php via cron job and that is the webpage. https://vermilionweather.com/wx5.php

Welcome to my world. Been working on this for 3 weeks now and just confounded as to the fix.

Got it!
Was using the wrong tags in the Current row. Was using tags from Current section of testtags i.e. %temp% when I should have been using tags from the trends section of testtags like %temp0minuteago%.

Still got to change a few tags in the section below that but I now see a light shining brightly at the end of the tunnel of this recovery..
