2812 Rain Gauge
« on: January 28, 2012, 01:30:22 AM »
Just got a new 2812 weather station and finally got it all hooked up. I had issues syncing the rain gauge, but finally got it ok too. Now it is continuing to register rain data, but there is no rain. The gauge is now sitting on my counter and is still registering rain. What do I do?

Thanks, Kathy

Hi Kathy.  Insure you're using fresh alkaline's (1.5 volt each or higher) in the gauge and they're inserted correctly. You could try manually tipping the bucket assembly slowly back and forth on the thought that the sensor's reed switch is intermittently making/braking contact and you passing the magnet by it (by tipping the buckets) may free it up.

Thanks Dan....I've tried all of that.  I think I'll try doing a complete reset and see what happens.
