Here is my webcam. Automatically uploading every 1 minute to wunderground, by using freeware iSpyconnect. My webcam does not have a built-in ftp upload by interval, thus need to use iSpyconnect on my minipc. (Update: now auto upload snapshot to wu by ubuntu command lines on my cheap/small android tv box)

The current image is here: https://icons.wunderground.com/webcamramdisk/w/u/WU_4433842/2/current.jpg

An official my wunderground webcam page: https://www.wunderground.com/webcams/WU_4433842/2/show.html

Camera: Starlight 2Mpx from China. It's an outdoor camera. Waterproof.

Hi,

New(ish) member. I'm running WeeWX on a raspberry pi and have a £15 Chinese 720p wired IP cam. I use a cron job every 5 minutes to grab the image, 'convert' to add the text etc and ftp the image to wunderground.

All in all, it works pretty well.

I saw your post above and I was wondering if you could help me do the same thing with my camera and pi? I'm fairly knowledgeable I just need to know what to do. Thanks.

Good morning all,
I have had my webcam up and down for the past year or so now, and with all of the Weather Underground webcam issues over the past couple of months (and now the discontinuing of WU webcams come mid December) I finally decided to figure out a way to post my webcam image directly to my website. I am glad to say I finally got that situated. The current webcam image can be found on my website at http://monumenthillweather.webs.com/. With winter fast approaching, I was glad to get the camera back up and running again. The below picture is a snapshot from my cam this morning.

Here we go again my next attempt at a weather webcam for my station in Gulfview Heights, South Australia.

After the announcement of the demise of wunderground webcam hosting, decided to have a crack at doing it myself.

My current setup is an Intel NUC computer running windows 10 with yawcam and camera used is the Microsoft Lifecam Studio USB webcam.

direct link to webcam. Decided on the static image that updates every 10 seconds.

Camera faces roughly south.

Here is it integrated into weather page on my site.

My camera located on a mountain east of Grants Pass, OR.  Axis P1347-E camera.  Using Ubiquiti NanoBridge M2 link to get the images and stream from the mountain to my office in town.

Hey everybody, this is a nice scene when weather is clear...but man, when the snow hits this place looks really desolate as in "Andes Plane Crash Site" or something on that order!!!!!!!!  Nice shot!!!

I was looking for reasonably priced ip camera to get my feet wet. I came across https://www.amazon.ca/Wansview-Wireless-Security-Weatherproof-W3-Black/dp/B06X9L9PB4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1527451954&sr=8-4&keywords=wansview. The camera is easy to setup. The image quality better than I expected. Here are a couple pics at 480 and 720p . These are pics of Mt Benson in Nanaimo BC

Looks like I am ready for the North American Monsoon here in the desert southwest. I have finished my 4th web cam. All my cameras are raspberry pi with the camera module. Three are outside (East, Northeast, and Northwest) and one inside (south) pointing outside. The cameras are taking an image every 6 seconds during the day and every 15 seconds during the night. Night shots are exposed at 3.1 seconds for all the cameras except the Northeast, it is at 3.5 seconds. I transfer all the images to my server and then create youtube videos twice a day (9am for night videos, 9pm for day videos). All images are overlaid with weather data from my own custom built weather stations (that is another thread).

For now I am happy with this setup. I have thought about a 360° or at least a vertical cam. This way I can detect precip events (rain on windshield situation).

Been two years since these cameras where installed had to improve the programing and how it writes to the SD chip to slow down wearing the sd chip out. I did install a vertical cam that I used to verify trace precipitation days. The night shots are now every 6 seconds with an exposure of 6 seconds.  Now onto Blitzortung. :-D

My weather camera view looking west from the roof of my house.  Currently a Logitech PRO9000 mounted inside a gutted halogen light housing. I need to raise it a bit in order to see Mt. Charleston in the distance behind the trees. Sunrise to sunset only.
