Congratulations on the new system.

Glad you got one installed.

Squelch silences the background noise of a receiver until a strong enough signal comes in to exceed the threshold and then be heard.  Sort of like the old fashioned police radios that have a roaring rushing sound and it silences when you turn the squelch up past that point.  Then until a signal comes in, you're spared all that background noise, and the signal is usually strong enough to be heard and understood.

I assumed the Boltek squelch did the same thing, not having the signal processing software and hard ware constantly evaluate very weak signals, or think that noise was actually a strike, since both sound like static.

I had mine about the 2 to 3 range, and I think that was OK.  The higher the squelch, the less the receiver will be exposed to those very weak long range signals, and therefore may miss some very far away stuff.  No harm really.

So 2 is ok, it covers noise and loses only weak long range signals.
I want to make a page for my radar with Nslog and Nexstorm but i don`t know how to begin.
I have read this http://jcweather.us/NSLog.php
and these http://jcweather.us/NSLog.php
but it is completely out of my knowledge.

I am very far from an expert on web pages.

But basically you want to take an image your software on your computer generates, and load it (by FTP in most instances) to a web server that you either have hosting in your house (many do but I have never found out how to do it, or chance my internet connection to allow anyone to look in to my server, I'm always a user looking out).  But if you have a web space, either rented monthly or a free one, then use some FTP program to send the Boltek images to the server, and just point to them there.

I have a web page at ECWx.info which loads one set of images that Weather Display generates, and another program called Meteotemplate by Jachym from the Czech Republic that works very well, but does require a web server that can run a version of PHP and MySQL.

If you just want to display images, then it might be better to do something simple, like load image to web page and then display.

Are you running a weather station already and loading stuff to a web page?

You can see an image I upload to my web page (not lightning data) by looking at

I have a weather page here, http://kalamata.meteoclub.gr/, it is created by weatherlink. I have space and codes for ftp.
I just want instructions step by step how to create a page like that http://kifissiameteo.gr/ (only the boltek part, not anything else).
I have downloaded everything from here http://jcweather.us/NSLog.php but i don`t know what to do next.

The learning is sometimes hard to understand and it is overwhelming, for me at least, to see page after page of code where even a misplaced comma or semicolon will surely wreak havok on the program running at all.

I have to head to work, but if someone else here sees you message maybe they can chime in.

I will look tonight to see what I can see, and I don't understand the weatherlink since I don't use it, but perhaps there is an option in there that allows to you point to a graphic file and tell it to upload that, too.  Just a place to start.

And jcweather.us is a spectacular site.

He uses some images from the Blitzortung lightning site if I remember correctly.

His site is something I long to finally create, with so much on it, but yet well laid out.

You can duplicate some of his stuff, but you really don't need any of it to just display an uploaded Boltek image.

http://www.lorickweatherlive.com/

is another weather page that has some stuff on it and I believe he was heavily involved with Boltek stuff years ago and may have some hints for you.  I think there is a 'contact' button on his page, too.

Best wishes, it will work eventually!  Dale

Look at this web page from Lorick, I think this is what you are trying to acheive, correct?

This page is made by Nexstorm. It is the main program but can do only this. If you use Nslog, (it is an open code written for Nexstrom) you can add more things. You can see them under the map here http://kifissiameteo.gr/ and details are in tab add-ons here http://jcweather.us/NSLog.php.
But i have no knowledge in php and i don`t know how to do it.

Hi...there are 3 main setups for boltek / nexstorm ...

Stormvuengx
stormstation5 and
Nsdisplay

Stormstation5 works best for PC and MOBILE/Tablet

stormvuengx wil not work on mobile...due to java

Nsdisplay works on Mobile but.... it depends on how you setup de ''panel''

i have those 3 setups on my website and for MOBILE view, well i use Mobile Storm hehehe..its better and it uses your nexstorm  output file to show strikes ;)

Take a look at my website under: Detection de la Foudre,http://www.meteolacstjean.com/weather28/index.php
it will give you an idea....both 3 pages are live displaying ...

note that the system is offline now cuz its still winter here ;)

with nsdisplay2013,you dont need NSlog anymore...everything is in the nsdisplay package

have fun  ;)

You can find everything here http://jcweather.us/NSLog.php. You will also need what is in the add-ons tab.
