Saratoga - WU Radar
« on: June 20, 2017, 04:59:36 PM »
Anyone else having an issue with WU radar page?

http://www.bismarckweather.net/wxradar.php

I'm getting radar down for maintenance message in the upper left corner.  If I zoom out one notch, it shows a radar.  But not the default or zoom in one notch.

I saw that all the images of BIS radar have the "Radar down for maintenance" issue on the WU site (even the zoomed ones).

It's not a WU-radar.php script problem.. it's a WU thing :)

Where did you check to see if those files were being created?  I couldn't find those exact images when trying to look myself.  Just so I can check in the future...

I just went to wunderground.com, did a search for your city, selected the Nexrad tab and displayed the main radar.  The image showed the text "Radar down for maintenance" in red at the top.  Doing a mouse click/drag to select a zoomed-in version also showed the text.  The 'Save image' link at the bottom allows you to see just the image if you like.

The WU-radar.php script just uses the same URLs for the image as is created by the Nexrad page on WU.

Wow.  Thanks for that update.  I tried to do a search to see if our radar was actually down.  Didn't find it yesterday.  Been too busy to dig too far though.

You can always check the status of radar sites here... http://radar3pub.ncep.noaa.gov/
A link is at bottom of that page for Status messages as well.
