UTC rain reset
« on: January 01, 2018, 04:38:18 PM »
Anybody else notice that their annual rain total values disappeared long before midnight on 31-December? Apparently, it resets on UTC time, so you effectively 'lose' hours of data before midnight when the New Year begins at local time.

Not a problem here (no rain/snow in months), but could be unsettling elsewhere.

Earles, not positive, but I believe mine waited to midnight local.

Where did this occur, local or online?

Based on that scenario then it would mean you might also gain hours?

It happened on my Vue console -- I noticed it had reset to 0.00 (was reading 7.01) about 2 hours BEFORE local midnight, because I was up getting ready to sip some bubbly to usher out the old year and welcome in the New Year.

I assume it's an "idiosyncrasy" of the dependence upon using UTC world around.

I was referring to WL, but that should be the same as the console.
