Here's a link to my webcam and weather page.  The webcam is pointed at Mt. Humphreys, Basin, & Mt. Tom looking left to right, pointed west.

Gee, that must suck for you to have such a mundane view from your window...

Just upgraded the webcam to a Stardot Netcam XL 3MP with a huge improvement in image quality!  Enjoy...

Needless to say, that is a breath taking view. I am looking at it at 9:46 pm, I am sure it is even better during the day time. I live on the other side of those mountains to the NNW in Placerville, CA.

Best of the Best for its class? After hours upon hours of self education the StarDot CAM-XL3MP NetCam XL 3MP that you have is the one I will most likely buy within the next several days. The sample still shots at http://www.stardot-tech.com/netcamxl/samples.html are incredibly crisp when compared to most NetCams. It looks like a 3 Megapixel camera took the pics, which is basically what the XL 3MP is.

Is was also kind of cool to run across a NOAA web page of a shot from the North Pole - http://www.arctic.noaa.gov/gallery_np.html . It states the camera is a StarDot near the bottom of the page as well as on the images. These are tough, tough camera's all the way down to -40F with icicles hanging off of it!

Elderado,

Yep, very happy w/ the netcam.  Let me know if you have any ?s setting it up.  Pretty easy to do.  There's a good discussion on the cam here and at his site.
