WxtoImg software issues
« on: July 24, 2018, 12:45:39 PM »
I'm new to this forum, so if this issue has been addressed recently, please feel free to point me to the correct board.
I've been using the RTL-SDR dongle plugged into a laptop to get NOAA satellite pictures. I use SDR#, VB virtual audio cable, and WxtoImg software.
For a couple of years this has worked fine. Now, the images I get look like they've been shredded  horizontally. I believe it may be a synchronization issue. I have tried remedies suggested by others like being sure no other programs are running. I have used the slant correction in WxtoImg. I made the three programs high priority. Nothing helps.
I've heard that the last Windows 10 update caused some problems in programs that use audio. I've checked the microphone privacy settings as suggested by some folks, but I can't get anyone to tell me what the settings should be.
Is anyone here using SDR# and WxtoImg in Windows 10 and getting it to work?
Can you please share any special settings you've made that make the system work?
Thank you!
