WS-1002-WIFI display, software
« on: July 23, 2017, 06:24:36 PM »
Hello.  I recently bought an Ambient Weather WS-1002-WIFI.

I'm concerned about the display being on 24/7.  Is there someway to turn it off?

Has anyone come up with better software than EasyweatherIP 3.1?

Thank you.

Yes, there is. Read the part about "Backlight Display" in the manual. I've set mine to turn on at 5:15am, when I get up and turn off at 6:00am when I leave for work.

I also turned my brightness all the way down. That way when I press the 3rd button from the left (backlight), I can turn the display on and off over the weekend and evenings.

Thank you.  I don't know how I missed that.  I guess I was hoping for an on/off switch.

Do you have any suggestions for better software?

Sorry, no.
but lol, today I was looking at Meteobridge using the TP-LINK TL-MR3020. They have them at Frys and I am going to pick one up tomorrow on the way home.

Currently I am redirecting my OIP to a home grown PHP program to pull out the data, then forward the formatted data to CWOP.

Good question. This software looks like something from the last century.  Does anyone know if Ambient plans to upgrade it?
Hardware: Ambient Weather WS-1001-WiFi (Wireless)

Software: WS-1001 V2.3.6
