New Zealand 7.8 Earthquake

thought this photo sums up the amount of land movement that occured nicely!  :shock:
the railway line is suspended in the air (note the shadow's from the sleepers)

In 2004 here the land under the Trans alaska pipeline moved 23 feet and several  highways had the same subsides like you show with depth of 16 to 20 feet. That quake was 7.4 mag.
