Single-core at 1 Gig.
The annoying thing is the lack of built-in networking. Sure, you can add USB dongles, but there are no full-size USB ports. So you have to add a hub.
Still, $5 isn't bad.

For $5.00, it has all of the features of the Pi that I actually use...and nothing that I don't!
I just ordered a budget kit from Adafruit, to finish the APRS i-gate/digipeater that I've been working on. If it works out (and they get unbundled $5.00 boards in stock again), I'll order a second one before the holidays to move my ADS-B receiver outside where it can get a better view of the sky.....

I'm waiting for th next shipment but clearly, this is an amazing device. I can see a TON of uses for it; right along side my RPi 2s

It would be cooler if they could get the price down to $3.14. ;)
-
If it retails for $5, cost must be about 2. :)

Oooh, close $5 = £3.22, but they are selling for £4 :(

Maybe the 5$ is without sales tax and the European prices include the VAT?
As it is manufactured in the UK, a price of £3.14 excl. taxes, should have been the launch price.

They gave it for free as part of the magazine issue :D

It is a rather brilliant strategy. Give away the razor to sell the blades (add an HDMI converter, display, keyboard...) $5? :)

Yep, a workmate picked up four copies yesterday!

Lucky... I heard it was sold out quite soon

Mine will be arriving in the mail today..... \:D/
