Discharge Program - How do I Automate it? - RESOLVED
« on: January 08, 2015, 08:04:18 AM »
Hi,

I have downloaded the program 'Discharge' from the Astrogenic site and would like to automate its uploads using Task Scheduler.

When the program opens normally you are left to press on 'Process' before an upload can take place, I have a file - discharge.bat - this is set to discharge silent_update, but I don't know what command to enter into scheduler to make this work.

The instructions mention - commandline mode - but I don't know what to enter their either

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Ian

Ian,

I'd try C:\PathToDischarge\Discharge.exe silent_update perhaps right from Task Scheduler and skip the .bat file?  I use System Scheduler and have it set as in the attached.

Hi Jim,

Spot on, checked the schedulers log file and it ran without coming up on the screen, just got to wait for lightning to see if it updates.

Cheers
